TREE SURGERY
We offer all aspects of high quality tree work carried out to British Standard BS3998:2010, according to tree, site and client objectives and requirements. Arboricultural management practices are carried out as specified by a consultant.
A short list of the common tree surgery practices undertaken by us:
Pruning – All types according to recommendations for tree management. This includes crown raises, crown reductions, crown thinning, pollarding, deadwood removal and access facilitation pruning.
Removals – We have the capabilities for safely removing trees scheduled for felling in all situations.
Stump Grinding – Removal of stump material to below ground level. This is not recommended if replanting is scheduled nearby – all root material should be removed as this could act as a host for wood decaying pathogens affecting new trees stock.
Tree Support Systems – Non-Invasive Cable Bracing is a service we are able to provide where pruning is to be avoided in a high value tree which requires support or risk mitigation. (Annual aerial inspections are then required).
Habitat Creation – We strongly encourage where possible to retain material as habit, for example ivy, decayed wood, coronet cuts when trees are monolithed.
Aerial Bat Inspection – Prior to tree work near potential bat roosts an inspection is undertaken.
Roadside Work /Traffic Management- We have a team certified for providing and working within traffic control for jobs where roadside work is required.
Emergency Call Out – All equipment is on standby for a prompt response.
Work Near Watercourses – We have staff trained and certified for work near waterways, lakes, reservoirs and open water.
Woodland Management – Work to woodlands following a sustainable management plan.
All work is carried out in accordance with company biosecurity, wildlife and safety policies. Tree work operations are covered by extensive public and employers liability insurances.
All persons employed for tree work operations have been trained by accredited organisations, colleges and universities to a professional standard. A high degree of arboricultural knowledge and management processes along with CPD from industry leaders is required from persons completing work for us.
All tree work operations are carried out to a method statement with site-specific risk assessments.
