TREE SURVEYS & REPORTS

Arboricultural surveys and reports are often required whether as part of a planning condition on development sites, legal requirement as a duty of care where trees are in a public place or to form an inventory documenting tree health. We are able to provide reports tailored to individual site requirements for the domestic, commercial and public sectors.

 Common tree survey reports supplied:

  • Development Reports BS5837 – Required by local authorities.

(This includes pre-development reports to evaluate the feasibility of development).

-Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA) – To support BS5837 reports.

-Arboricultural Method Statements (AMS) – To support BS5837 reports.

  • Tree Health Surveys – For land owners, offering tree management advice.

  • Tree Risk Surveys – All trees in public places should have a record of annual inspection.

  • Tree Preservation Order (TPO) – We are able to provide reports to support applications for work to trees covered by statuary legal protection. We can also assist in applying for TPO’s to be placed on a tree(s).

  • Planting Proposal Schemes – Planting plans with appropriate species – taking into account site factors – for example soil samples taken where necessary.

  • Pest Management Programs –Although monoculture is now uncommon meaning large scale pest issues aren’t a problem we still provide these for orchards etc.

For all significant trees in public areas an annual survey is recommended to assess the trees condition and risk potential. Trees are living organisms, often growing in conflicting urban environments where their condition is susceptible to change due to a range of factors.

Suber Ltd only instruct tree consultants to carry out work who are appropriately qualified to degree level, PTI (Professional tree inspection), RFS Dip Arb or equivalent and covered by appropriate indemnity insurances. Throughout each year, Continuous Personal Development (CPD) is undertaken by tree consultants through the Arboricultural Association and other industry bodies to ensure all surveys and reports are informed by current industry standards, research and technology.
